7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge.

10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom.
God is scary! He is terrible and fearsome! Ferocious and Mighty! More powerful than comprehension… And to realise that is just the start of understanding life!
Does God scare you? He should! I have many friends that believe in a god or even the God but so few that are prepared to face the reality of such a boast. My question to you is this, do you truly believe in God?
The third commandment says “thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain”. That doesn’t mean that we should not swear!! Do not call yourself a child of God and not live like a child of God! Don’t say that you believe and trust in God when you don’t live accordingly.
The consequences of not fearing God are severe and lasting. There is no middle road, there is no 3rd option. Either you give all to follow and obey Christ or you don’t! Either you die to yourself and live in Him or live for yourself and spend eternity in deathly hell!
