The Way, The Truth, The Life…

John 14
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

“the way” – I am your purpose. I am your ambition. I am your direction, your goal. I am your path. I am your gate, your door. I am your mediator.

“the truth” – I am the source of all your knowledge. I am the giver of wisdom. I am the understanding of life. I am the revealer of mystery. I am the solid foundation. I am the unchanging, unchangeable fact.

“the life” – I am your life source. I am your beginning. I am your end. I am your creator. I am your maintainer. I am your provider.

Jesus is life. There is nothing else. The source of all life is Jesus. We are breathing now because He gives us the strength to breathe. Jesus example is the only way to live life. As the author and keeper of life He is obviously the only one who can give wisdom and understanding of it. He is God. He is the giver of life!

If you believe this, you will live a very different life. It will not and cannot be ordinary. Your life, your character will be dramatically different. You’re desires will not and cannot resemble those of a nonbeliever. If you believe this then every decision, every action is done with no other desire than to do the will of your heavenly Father. Every ambition, every plan and every course of action will be done with a desperate desire to be obedient to your heavenly Father’s will. You will seek and search and strive to make sure He is pleased with your progress. You will deny your own life and die to it. You will put all your dreams, wants, desires and plans on a metaphorical altar and burn them there, leaving yourself wholly submitted to His leading... If you believe this.
